Conservation diving, protecting Cornwall's lobster population
This course aims to raise awareness about the importance of lobster conservation and educate participants about lobster biology, their life cycle, and their role within the marine ecosystem.
The goal is to teach newly certified and experienced divers and snorkelers, with little or no background in marine conservation, how to use best practices when releasing juvenile lobsters to give the species the best chances of survival. Releases are conducted through targeted dive sites and habitats in a safe and controlled manner.
